On September 13, 2021, a new vaccination phase in the plan started with the immunization of La Moderna students ages from 12 to 17, who were enrolled in Plan Retorno and Virtual Modality.
More than 300 students were authorized by their parents, who signed an informed consent form in order to access this process, which had more than 96% acceptance among the representatives of the school community.
One of the priority requirements for young people to get the vaccine was to present a set of documents supporting family authorization and identification in perfect legal order.
The Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador provided the Pfizer dose and a team of doctors, nurses and data entry clerks from the institution were in charge of the entire vaccination process of 320 adolescents from the school.
The whole process was carried out following the biosecurity measures, a specialized health team and a number of positive comments from parents who assured their satisfaction for the opportunity to provide their children with a safe place to get immunized.
