A day full of civism was celebratedcelebrated on September 24th, as part of the celebration of the National Day of the Ecuadorian Flag.
The traditional Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag revived the respect and value for the patriotic symbols by the students of III of Baccalaureate, who bowed individually before the standard and exalted a great 'Yes I swear'.
The ceremony started at 09:00 with the entrance of the authorities, followed by the National Pavilion. The students were distributed and placed in blocks wearing the parade uniform and white gloves to the rhythm of the musical march given by the National Navy.
Nathaly Moreno, Standard Bearer of the National Pavilion, raised the Ecuadorian flag with its brand new coat of arms before her classmates. She, like many students of La Moderna is preparing to study abroad, for this reason, she continues to strive in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program that is taught in the Institution with a high level of English that opens the door to an increasingly globalized world.
Juan Carlos Rodríguez, Rector of our Educational Unit, emphasized in his speech that "this event is tremendously significant for its teachers because it sets a precedent as citizens; nationals and foreigners, who give respect to the homeland, to the land, to the people, to everything that constitutes this great nation. A “yes I swear” that is not behind the context of the social or light, but of what is truly transcendental.
This event was attended exclusively by the students in accordance with the biosecurity protocol and the participation of the authorities and teachers, who made sure to respect all the corresponding measures and motivated the students to celebrate this civic morning with enthusiasm.
