During the school year, we have different inter-school activities carried out by the different areas of the teaching staff so that our students can put into practice what they have learned in the classroom. These activities allow our students to practice healthy competition in different areas.
Poetry contest that promotes the value of words by providing a space for children and young people to express their creativity. It encourages the love of reading and writing by fostering identity and awareness of their environment.
The English spelling bee event enhances student participation in accurate pronunciation and writing. It prov¿nides educators with an important opportunity to assess language proficiency levels and further develop their students' knowledge.
Campaign for environmental awareness, preservation and care is carried out in all sections of La Moderna through ecological activities, games, dances, and more. Throughout the year it includes the collection of materials such as batteries, newspapers, tetra packs and cartons that are sent to recyclers, as well as promoting ideas in different parts of the institution on how to avoid plastic waste.
Theatrical and musical festival under different adaptations and themes; such as dancing and singing in English, Spanish and French. Each student performs an artistic presentation as part of an educational, transcendental and humanistic message that proposes to make known virtues, problems and truths of society.
Technological Fair, scientific, mathematical and engineering projects, in which students demonstrate in an advanced way their creativity and entrepreneurial vision that motivates them to seek quick and transcendental solutions in an increasingly demanding and globalized world.
Meeting point for reading in which, through stories, editorials, stories and more, the active participation of students is encouraged, demanding a majority approach in the midst of anti-reading alarms.
Intercollegiate Sports Day where different institutions of Samborondón and Guayaquil compete locally in disciplines such as Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Chess and Athletics in which the first places within the educational and sports area are highlighted. This activity takes place during a week in the facilities of La Moderna under the supervision of teachers, coaches and inspectors of the area.
Electronics currently performs a wide variety of tasks. The main uses of electronic circuits are control, processing, information distribution, conversion and distribution of electrical energy. At the end of their academic training each student will be able to identify the components of electronic circuits, including their symbols, function and test to identify and group them in circuits, as well as incorporate the basic principles of programming in Arduino, diagrams, and laboratory practices of electromagnetic fields and electric currents.
Presentaciones artísticas a partir de las experiencias de la música ecuatoriana y la incidencia actual dentro de las generaciones. Este concurso tiene como propósito exaltar las virtudes de la música ecuatoriana, como sus autores que son de gran exponencia internacional para la edificación de la música nacional. A partir de diversos musicales se eligen las mejores presentaciones y se escogen a los ganadores.
La Fête de la Musique is an unavoidable festival that marks the beginning of a great popular event of the French population, in honor of it, La Moderna is present through artistic shows, activities and much more, where a little of the culture of France is highlighted in a recreational and symbolic space as part of the Amazing Learning experience that the institution promotes in students. An extraordinary opportunity where students demonstrate their skills and are allowed to get out of their comfort zone through artistic expressions. The Festival also offers the possibility to generate exchanges of knowledge about communities and nature of French culture.
Exchange of experiences where students demonstrate their skills together with other students from ISP (International Schools Partnership) schools; videos, songs, dances and more are experienced through Amazing Learning. Afterwards, each video is recorded with the name of the school and they meet that day to watch them.
The Annual National Holiday was enacted in France on July 6, 1880 with the storming of the Bastille in 1789, it is in fact July 14, 1790, the feast of the Federation, which has been officially commemorated in France for over a century. La Moderna commemorates this event through artistic presentations and allusions to the period.
Internal French spelling contest that promotes and intensifies the participation of students in their correct pronunciation and writing of French words. An important opportunity where they analyze their level of the language, on which teachers can continue to work for their correct knowledge.
Group activity where different students of Moderna Kids present a series of projects and significant learning obtained during their school period.
